Guts, love, devotion, desire it just isn't enough.

You need alittle more of that, alittle less of this.

You need the time, you need the right person.

You need what you get, and want what you don't get.



You get the good times, you get the bad times.

You pay for the crimes, and the lies.

But you need the right person.

There isn't always green pasture for best friends.

Friendship can be harder than relationships.



I can promise to be there whenever your world crumbles.

But, could you do the same for me?

Because of all the qualities that I need, it just doesn't seem you add up.

Alittle less there, too much there.

Best friends shouldn't buy you off, Best friends shouldn't use you.

They should respect you, and be there for you.



But, is it in your genes to turn the cheek?

I guess I'll never know, I don't need a best friend like you.

One that won't be there, that doesn't care.

That puts a lover above friends, that makes it hard to communicate.
